Good Charlotte Joel Madden - husband of Nicole Richie - Member started Sunday after officials say they have found pot in his hotel room near Sydney, Australia... TMZ has learned.
According to police in New South Wales, Australia... cops executed a search warrant at 22:30 Sunday night and seized a "small amount of supposed to be cannabis plant material."
Cops would not say that if the weed belonged to Madden - but he said that a 34-year-old man was present during the search. FYI - Joel is 34.
However, TMZ spoke with the Director of the hotel of Darling, who did give names... saying: "Joel Madden has been ejected from the hotel because a small amount of cannabis was found in his hotel room."
He added, "in Australia there is a tolerance 0 for this, no matter where you are."
