I'm curious to know the regulations respecting the refunds... most stores do no question a refund for gift cards, a pain when one receives a gift card in a store or service did not. I have still a cert gift of $75 for a massage at a local place I wouldn't attend... given in 2001...

In the living room, my gift certificates say the gift card is an amount in dollars, not the value of the specified service, I guarantee the value of the service for a year, after a year, it may be a necessary complement in the event of rising prices... I've seen people appear years after the purchase of a gift certificate of exhibition, wanting a manicure for a special offered by other manicure, the amount on the report is $ 7.00...
And I keep a record of the gift, guaranteed for a year... If they lose the card I have honor, after one year, they need to produce the gift card. But you have to keep good records, customer will find the map and think that they do not use it yet... had some serious potential cheaters ;-)

Had a 2 customers insisting the bought a gift card they can not find, that want the service when it was not in my (never happened) folder, the importance of keeping a register of issued gift certificates (and I print my own fun cards (most gift cards are boring), nothing printed from the gift card purchased or standard secondary effect will duplicate)easy enough to do with Publisher or something similar.
